PHP is a not-for-profit physician hospital organization (PHO) located in Albany,
Georgia. Community-based physicians and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital formed this
corporation in 1995. It is operated locally, by people who live in your communities,
and share your concerns for a better, healthier southwest Georgia.
Our mission is to make the community a better place to live by providing access
to quality healthcare at affordable cost. The ability to work with any insurance
carrier, TPA, statewide or national network, allows PHP to offer any size company
more comprehensive healthcare options for its employees. The combination of provider
discounts results in greater savings to employer groups in southwest Georgia. Participants
of PHP have access to a network that includes more than 400 physicians, 11 hospitals,
and numerous other healthcare providers. We have the privilege of providing access
to over 90,000 covered lives through our managed care products. Be assured that
when you select the PHP panel of providers for your healthcare needs, we are all
cooperating to achieve a common goal: to offer you state-of-the-art care close to
home.
